Mel Gibson Making a Comeback in The Hangover 2
The actor is trying to redeem himself and his career by making a cameo in the sequel to the smash hit.
Is this the worst decision ever? In an attempt to revive his dead career thanks to his headline-making drama with Oksana Grigorieva earlier this year, Mel Gibson has signed on for a cameo appearance in The Hangover 2.
According to Page Six, Gibson will play a tattoo artist in Bangkok, where the sequel takes place. A source tells the newspaper, “Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October.”
What do The Hangover stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms think of Mel being on the set? It’s too soon to know, but we’re sure they had to agree to work with the troubled actor (whereas other stars like Leonardo DiCaprio have refused). Although, as Page Six points out, The Hangover boys teamed up with Mike Tyson for the first movie, which turned out to be a great boost for his career.
But, will The Hangover 2 do the same for Mel? Or, is it too soon for him to even be attempting a comeback? (New York Post)
