New Set Pics: Lily Collins and Nathan Lane in ‘Mirror, Mirror!’
New set pics have emerged from Mirror, Mirror, the upcoming Snow White film starring Lily Collins!
And in the continuing adventures of the Year of Snow White, look what we have: New photos from the set of Mirror, Mirror, courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter! Admittedly, we’re a little skeptical about this one—the first trailer felt a little too goofy for our taste, and as much as we loved The Fall, director Tarsem Singh’s latest film, Immortals, was a little difficult to stomach—but you know what? These pics are kind of gorgeous. Perhaps this is to be expected, as Singh is known for his extraordinary visual style; but hey, let’s take a look!
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the scene depicted here involves Snow White (Lily Collins) being pursued by Brighton (Nathan Lane) in a carriage through the woods. But as is the trend with this year’s fairytale heroines, this Snow White is no shrinking violet. The role required four months of sword training and a boatload of action.
First up, we’ve got Robert Emms, who is playing a character named Renbock. We don’t really know much about him except that he seems to be pretty handy with a horse. That’s director Tarsem Singh to the right:
Next up, it’s Snow White herself! We’ve hitherto only seen Lily Collins in a blue dress, but she looks quite nice—and appropriately snowy—in this gorgeous white confection. The woods are pretty too, aren’t they?
Here are Lily and Nathan Lane, playing Brighton, in the woods together. I kind of just want to go walk around that set—it looks perfect!
And finally, Nathan and Lily share a laugh. We’re not sure if this is a “laughing in the scene” laugh or a “joking behind the scenes” laugh, but either way, it looks like they’re having fun:
Mirror, Mirror is set to open on March 16, 2012. Check out more great pics over at the Hollywood Reporter!
