Pics! Take a Peek at Natalie Portman’s Wedding Dress!
Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied finally tied the knot! Want a peek at Natalie’s wedding dress? Of course you do!
As you’ve no doubt heard, we’ve finally got an answer to the question about whether Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied had actually gotten married yet. They hadn’t—until this past weekend!
On Saturday, Natalie and Benjamin said “I do” at a vegan, Jewish wedding in Big Sur, CA. According to People, the wedding was designed and coordinated by LA-based wedding planners Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove (the same team who put together Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman’s wedding in June); guests included Ivanka Trump, Macaulay Culkin, and (of course) family—including 14-month-old son Aleph. During the ceremony, the couple were wrapped in a tallits (a Jewish prayer shawl), and ended things properly with Benjamin breaking a glass to shouts of “Mazel tov!” The reception featured a Klezmer band; but lest it seem like Benjamin’s French nationality had been forgotten, they also replaced the standard wedding cake with French macarons.
But I know what you’re REALLY interested in: The dress! What did Natalie wear? This:
It’s by Rodarte, and while I usually love a tea-length wedding dress, I’m… not totally sure how I feel about this one. I’m not loving the sleeves, but Jewish brides traditionally cover more skin than has become the fashion for most contemporary brides, so I understand why they’re there. In any event, she accessorized with nude shoes (they look like flats to me—iiiiinteresting), a veil, and a crown of flowers—and she looks super happy, so hoorah and congratulations to the happy couple!
