Playboy TV Targeting Women With New, More Intimate Reality Shows
The channel is creating new content that will appeal to both men and women, but will people tune in?
Playboy TV is struggling. It seems men don’t really want to pay for adult content that they can view for free online. That’s why the channel has come up with a strategy to gain a new set of viewers: women.
“TV for 2″ is a block of programming Playboy TV is planning that specifically targets couples and women who want to see “erotic content, but in a more contextualized and less raunchy fashion and with higher production values,” according to Newser.
The programming will include 6 new erotic shows, including a relationship advice show for couples, and another called Brooklyn Kinda Love, which will be a reality-type show focusing on the intimacy of four real couples.
Playboy TV is hoping this will encourage men to keep their subscription to the channel so that they can watch these shows with their girlfriend or wife. It may also prompt women to sign up for the channel on their own. (Newser)
