Poor Lily Allen Suffers Second Miscarriage
Lily Allen loses her baby boy, who would’ve been due in January.
Singer Lily Allen has said that her “goal in life is to have kids.” After suffering a miscarriage three years ago with former boyfriend Ed Simons, Allen was thrilled this August to announce she was pregnant again — this time with her construction worker beau, Sam Cooper.
A few weeks ago, Allen had announced that the baby would be wearing blue and not pink when he would be delivered in January. “You start to think of names, and then you can go shopping, and it all feels like it’s happening,” she giddily told Stylist magazine. But sadly, it won’t be happening. A spokesperson for Allen has just released the following statement to People:
“It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby. The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made.”
This is certainly devastating news considering how clearly excited Allen was to be achieving her goal. “I’ve got a boyfriend I love to pieces,” she had said. “I’m having a baby who will hopefully be as beautiful as he is. I’ve got an amazing shop. I work with my sister and I’ve got a lovely house in the country. It certainly ticks all my boxes.”
Our thoughts are with you Lily and Sam. (People)
