‘Private Practice’ Star Kate Walsh Shares Her Allergy Tips and Tricks
Kate Walsh, beauty expert Rebekah George, and Zyrtec have teamed up for a must-see beauty webinar for allergy sufferers.
If you’re one of the estimated 40 million Americans who scratch and sneeze through spring, Zyrtec is here to help. The allergy-relief medication brand teamed up with Private Practice star Kate Walsh and beauty pro Rebekah George for a webcast that’ll aid any gal who suffers from a runny nose or itchy eyes.
“I am no stranger to the itchy, watery eyes and red nose,” Walsh told us in an exclusive interview before the webcast.
So how can the allergy-prone ladies out there get some much-needed relief? First, George recommends that you invest in a few extra pillows. By elevating your head, you can get your beauty sleep and still look beautiful the next morning. Goodbye, facial fluids! We really won’t miss you.
Second, don’t forget to slather that Rudolph nose with lotion before bed and oil it when you wake up. “To help with dry skin, I like to use Vaseline on my face,” Walsh added.
Third, bid redness farewell with a copper bronzer and pink blush combo.
“Bright, bold colors are in this season,” Walsh said. “I especially love a bright pink or orange lipstick and nail color.”
And so do we! It’s refreshing to learn that you can continue to follow the latest and greatest beauty trends and cover up the effects of allergies at the same time. Now that’s something we can raise our lipstick tubes to.
Last, let your peepers shine with a swipe of glistening gold shadow. And if you don’t get it right the first time, just remember: even Kate has had her own beauty mishaps.
“I’ve had a few bad experiences with self-tanner,” Walsh dished. “I am also one of those people who has ended up with bronzer on my dress. I have a lot of help. It’s like that old saying ‘it takes a village…’”
If you’re heading out for a stroll in the park, don’t forget to pack lip balm and Zyrtec, the red haired beauty’s personal must haves. Oh, and never be afraid to change it up!
“I love my red locks, but I am looking forward to some fun highlights for the summer,” Walsh gushed.
