Red Valentino’s Spring Campaign Is Enchanting
Fairytales come to life with dresses we thought existed only in our daydreams!
Red Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2012 campaign will tickle your senses and spark your imagination. Prepare to enter an enchanted fairy land where models are transformed into princesses and campaign ads are shot in Parco dei Mostri. This “Park of Monsters” is located on the green terrain of Bomarzo, Italy.
Valentino’s creative directors Maria Grazia and Pier Paolo Piccioli said they sought to portray “a magical and enchanted forest, where the heroines move to discover a dreamlike and imaginary world…with romantic princesses and wicked queens.”
The campaign features model Nimue Smit, who perfectly plays the part of a curious princess. Renowned London fashion photographer Tim Walker managed to convey her delicate charm with each shot.
Red Valentino’s SS 2012 collection is on sale now on the design house’s website. The Red line is Valentino’s less expensive, more contemporary arm. Price points are still steep, but most pieces fall between $200 and $800.
Forget Prince Charming: the only things we’re dreaming of are these dresses!
