Island Vanilla

How do you feel about vanilla, Bettys? Are you as fond of it as I am? If you are, then you’ll absolutely love Pacifica’s yummy new Island Vanilla Spray Perfume ($22, sephora.com). I managed to snap up this delectable scent when it landed in our mailbox, and believe you me—it takes the saying “it smells good enough to eat” to a whole new level!

You see, something interesting happened to vanilla when it made its way from South America to Tahiti. It got a little fruitier, a little more lush—and a lot sexier. And that’s exactly what Pacifica’s Island Vanilla scent captures: It starts with sun-kissed Tahitian Vanilla, which is then infused with honey-jasmine floral notes and a little bit of fruitiness. A base of deep tea notes and creamy Bourbon vanilla anchors the scent and finishes it off, resulting in a gorgeous, warm, tropical vanilla fragrance.

What’s the best way to describe what it smells like?  Cookies. Island Vanilla smells exactly like delicious, fresh-from-the-oven sugar cookies—only sexier. Sexy cookies. And what’s better than sexy cookies? Nothing. That’s what.

As a bonus, the perfume spray bottle is pretty and petite, and it deploys just the right amount of scent with each spritz. In case traditional perfume sprays aren’t your thing, thought, you can also get this delicious scent in roll-on and body butter form. All three versions of the fragrance are 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free, so they’re good for you AND they’re good for the earth. Now that’s what I call a sweet deal!
