Lindsay Lohan Cleopatra

When last we checked in with darling LiLo, she was busy at work on the set of Lifetime’s Liz and Dick, looking something like this. Shortly thereafter, we offered her some advice on what she might do in order to full transform into the fabled Elizabeth Taylor. Did she end up following Meryl Streep and Marion Cotillard’s lead? Let’s find out!

As seen above, this is what Lindsay will look like as Liz as Cleopatra. The title role of the 1963 film Cleopatra was one of Dame Liz’s best-known roles—as much for her performance as for a) her paycheck, and b) her love life. In 1960, Elizabeth landed a $1 million dollar contract for the film, a figure which made her the highest-paid actress of her time. She also met her future husband, Richard Burton, while working on the picture (he played Mark Antony); and since Lifetime’s biopic centers around Elizabeth and Richard’s relationship, we can be fairly certain that the section of the movie encompassing Cleopatra will be quite important.

What do you think? As I would imagine is the case with most of us, I’m still not sold that Lindsay is ultimately going to be able to pull it off. I’ll be interested to see how the film as a whole is received when it finally airs on November 3 of this year; will she be lambasted? And if so, will it be a fair or unfair judgment? Or will she surprise us all and knock it out of the park? She’s got a lot riding on this one—her entire career, really—so it’s definitely a make-it-or-break-it project.

According to People, the shot of Lindsay seen here was snapped on Monday, which also appears to have been her last day on set. Her wrapping filming also coincided with her 26th birthday, so happy belated B-Day, LiLo!

Tell us: Are you planning on watching Liz and Dick when it airs?
