Step Out in Style with Sunglass Hut’s 4th Annual Artist Series Collection
Featuring designs from a famed yarn bomber, these glasses will make your fall look pop.
Ladies, we have yet another reason to splurge on a shiny new pair of shades! Sunglass Hut, that good ole shop where sunnies live, has just released its fourth annual Artist Series Collection.
From today, Monday, November 7, 2011, you’ll be able to order a pair of limited edition glasses in this online-only exclusive. Started in 2009, the program has already showcased designs from Chris Mendoza, Maya Hayuk, and Mike Ming.
This year, the talented artist behind the line is Magda Sayeg, also known as KNITTA, the gal at the head of the worldwide yarn bombing movement. But these are definitely not your granny’s shades: Sayeg’s frames are colorful, super chic, and totally covet worthy!
“I am thrilled to collaborate with Sunglass Hut and join the line-up of artists who have had the privilege to participate in this unique project,” Sayeg explained in a press release. “I love the idea of beautifying women through enhancing sunglasses with knitting and contributing to such a charitable cause.”
Because not only will you be supporting an artist who leads community-based initiatives to revamp poor urban areas across the globe, Sunglass Hut will give $30 from each $130 pair of sunglasses to OneSight. This foundation’s mission has been to provide eyewear and vision care to people in need. Besides aiding millions of people during the past 20 years, the organization has also funded research teams working to stop optical diseases in their tracks.
We have to admit: we never thought yarn-spun glasses could be très stylish, but now that we’ve practically drooled over ‘em, it’s safe to say we’re smitten.
