Tavi Gevinson’s New Website ‘Rookie’ Needs a Managing Editor!
If you haven’t checked out Tavi Gevinson’s new website Rookie yet, you should. Oh, and hey, they’re looking for a managing editor, too!
Have you guys checked out Tavi Gevinson’s new website Rookie yet? If you haven’t, you should; the teen fashion maven has created a super awesome site for teenage girls that covers everything from first times to how-to guides about turning your life into a coming-of-age movie. But even though it’s meant for the teen girl set, there’s plenty to keep older gals occupied too, including Twin Peaks references (hey, what can I say? I adore David Lynch). So head on over and take a look when you get a chance, and if you feel like it, you can even submit something to the site yourself.
Oh, and guess what? Tavi needs a managing editor for Rookie! Emily Condon was only acting as managing editor for the site’s launch, so now that it’s up and running, she’s returning to her regular job at This American Life. According to WWD, Condon wrote an email to some of her friends saying, “We’re brand new, but the growth potential could be really significant for someone willing to buy in and take a bit of a (calculated) risk.” It’s a work-from-home gig and they’d like to have someone in place by late September. Opportunity knocks, Bettys!
