The 10 Best Chick Flicks of 2010

Let's hear it for the films that made us laugh, cry and everything in between this year.
2 / 3

Knight and Day

Knight and Day was the perfect balance of action, comedy and romance. We were on our toes as we watched Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise run from the bad guys together. And might we add, they looked smokin’ hot while doing so. Even with bullets flying, there was still comic relief. It’s tough to say what we enjoyed more—the 100 mile-per-hour car chases, or the scenes with Tom shirtless. You still got it, Tommy!

4. Life As We Know It

Life as We Know It

We found ourselves rooting for Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel throughout this entire movie. The two of them played Holly (Heigl) and Eric (Duhamel), complete opposites who were once set up on a date by mutual friends. When those friends die in an accident, Holly and Eric are left with the custody of their adorable baby Sophie. A humorous string of events ensue as they tried to fuse together some sort of family. Watching their relationship unfold on-screen both cracked us up and tugged at our heartstrings.

5. Sex and the City 2

Sex and the City 2

Every girl’s four best friends hit the big screen again! Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha left their native Manhattan and embarked on an impromptu trip to Abu Dhabi. The result? A funny, fabulous and feel-good sequel. The wardrobes were also totally drool-worthy—as if we were surprised.

6. Eat, Pray, Love

Eat Pray Love

Based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, the lovely Julia Roberts starred in this uplifting film about self-discovery. Liz (Roberts) took a life-changing journey around the world where she found joy in food by eating in Italy, the power of prayer in India, and finally, true love in Bali. The scenery was breathtakingly gorgeous. And so was Javier Bardem.
