The British actor, 32, began his career in the critically acclaimed mini-series Band of Brothers in 2001, and followed that with several smaller roles before his breakout gig as a gay gangster in Guy Ritchie‘s RocknRolla in 2008. He followed that with the title role in Bronson, about the real-life prisoner Charles Bronson, who has spent most of his adult life in solitary confinement. His next project will be taking over Mel Gibson’s role as the title character in the Mad Max franchise.
After battling addiction to alcohol and crack, Tom has been sober since 2003. Last month he proposed to British actress Charlotte Riley.
