-Shayla C. Perry
In 2010 we saw the best and worst of some of our fave (and not so fave) celebs, from Betty White to Bristol Palin. But before we ring in a whole new year of sex tapes and other scandals, here’s a look at the ten biggest breakups, makeups, and meltdowns that made us laugh, cry, and cringe throughout the year.

2010 was another golden year for 88-year-old actress Betty White, and after a successful Facebook campaign of nearly 500,000 fans caught the attention of Saturday Night Live, White took to the stage at NBC studios on May 9th as the host of the sketch comedy show, proving that age ain’t nothin’ but a number, and Betty, well—she can make anything funny.

After complaints of an excruciating headache, Poison frontman Bret Michaels was rushed to a hospital where doctors determined that he had suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage and was in critical condition. But despite a few setbacks, just weeks later, Michaels was on the road to recovery, which eventually led him to a new VH1 reality show and a proposal to his girlfriend of 16 years, Kristi Gibson, giving us all a little something to believe in.
8. Bristol Palin Does DWTS

Bristol made it to the final show, gaining as much respect as she did haters, but all was right with the world again when she was finally eliminated and the disco-ball trophy went to Jennifer Grey.
