Tina Fey + More Stars Spotted at L’Oreal Paris’ ‘Because You’re Worth It’ Party
A ton of celebs had a blast at the L’Oreal Paris 40th anniversary celebration.
Movie star and TV star Andie McDowell co-hosted with her daughter, Miss Golden Globe 2012 Rainey Qualley, at L’Oreal Paris’ star-studded cocktail party. Attendees included Tina Fey, Joey Maalouf, and more this past Saturday at the ultra glam Four Seasons hotel in chi-chi Beverly Hills. The party commemorated the 40th anniversary of L’Oreal Paris’s famous “Because You’re Worth It” slogan. Did you know that Andie’s been a brand spokesmodel for 25 years now? Wow!
The night gave tribute to all the ladies (and gents!) who represent what being worth it is all about; it also showcased some of L’Oreal’s hottest products for spring.
One of the biggest accessories is designed to make color addicts everywhere rejoice with the launch of the new L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail Collection. Available in 42 high-wattage shine shades to suit the personalities of women everywhere, Colour Riche Nail has four unique “mood families” including Iconic Muse, Femme Fatale, Hopeless Romantic, and Trend Setter. Watch out for the Trend Setter ladies- six shades within its collection will be updated every six months!
In honor of the slogan turning 40, L’Oreal decided to turn it into a nail polish! Every guest that evening received a complimentary swag bag that included the new nail shade “Because You’re Worth It,” a subtle gold with a light shimmer that’s pitch perfect for awards season.
More fabulous freebies (I know, right? I felt like the luckiest girl in the world!) included shampoo, hairspray, and cleansing conditioner from the new Ever Style collection which is the first ever 100 percent alcohol free styling product line from L’Oreal.
What does styling hair without an alcohol-based product mean exactly? I turned to a pro for the answers, L’Oreal spokesman and official hairstylist Johnny Lavoy, “What the Ever Style line does is it keeps from having your hair dry out. I love the volume root lifting spray especially because you can use it on dry hair if you’re in a hurry. Spray it directly on your roots for volume, blow it out and it will completely change the style in a flash!”
So what can we expect to see in big hair trends this year at the awards shows? “Movies like The Help and My Week with Marilyn are really inspiring modern versions of throwbacks to old Hollywood. There will be lots of ‘60s hairstyles that focus on smoothness and bigger hair on the red carpet.”
Even though the night was filled with stars, the must-see to rub elbows with was the “Wall of Worth” with celebrity signatures! Allow me to back up and explain: the Wall of Worth is a huge framed print of L’Oreal’s slogan written in as many global languages as could fit onto the space. Throughout the entire night, the wall was ever-changing with scrawled John Hancocks from stars including Tina Fey, Entourage star (Mrs. Ari) Perrey Reeves, Hannah Simone from New Girl and Joey Maalouf from The Rachel Zoe Project. I was even invited to pen my name up there, too – nothing ever made me feel more “worth it” quite like that moment!
