A Placerville, Calif., woman who has been missing for almost two decades has been found alive, having been kept in captivity for the past 18 years as a sex slave.

After being kidnapped as an 11-year-old child, Jaycee Lee Dugard’s alleged abductor and rapist forced her to live in a backyard compound and made her bear two children, both girls, who are now 11 and 15 years old.

Convicted sex offender Phillip Garrido, 58, is being held for investigation for various kidnapping and sex charges and his wife, Nancy Garrido, 54, was also arrested. Authorities suspect that she was with Garrido during the kidnapping.

Dugard, now 29, was reunited with her mother on Thursday. (NY Post)

  1. I remember reading about this girl in an article a year ago written by her mother. it’s great that they’ve finally been reunited and horrific that she had to be in that horrible situation for 2/3 of her life.
