Have you ever suffered for fashion, Bettys? Because Diane Kruger certainly has. Oh, the tales this stunning and stylish actress could tell! Want to hear one? Of course you do!

People caught up with Diane at the Calvin Klein spring 2013 show during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Naturally, one of the big questions we’re always curious about when it comes to stylish stars has to do with whether they’ve ever had any memorable fashion disasters; and happily for us, the mag asked Diane just that question. “I have suffered a lot for fashion,” Diane replied. “I recently wore a beautiful Dior Couture gown for the [Cannes] Film Festival”—you know: The one that reminded us of one of those wacky doll cake things—“and it had a huge bodice. It was so big that it took me an hour to get into it and the only way for me to go to the bathroom was to take off the bodice.” Uh oh—we can already sense disaster in the air!

“Once I finished dinner,” she continued, “I had to go to the bathroom and it became so tight that I couldn’t breathe anymore.” Oh noes! Whatever shall she do! Luckily, though, she had boyfriend Joshua Jackson on hand to help. “Josh had to come with me to the lady’s room and cut me out of it. He literally had to help me remove the dress to help me go to the bathroom. It was crazy!”

We agree! But, as Diane pointed out, “that’s real love, isn’t it, to have someone like him to help me in the weirdest situations.” Hear, hear!

Though we’ve got to say, none of us here at BettyConfidential would even think about putting on such a complicated dress in the first place—not even for a spot on People’s Best Dressed List!
