Jean Dujardin

French actor Jean Dujardin has been earning all sorts of attention and accolades for his turn as struggling silent movie star George Valentin in The Artist (almost as much attention as Uggie, his canine buddy in the film!). He’s been sweeping the awards this season; on top of his Golden Globe and SAG Award wins, he’s won eight more, been nominated for 18 more, and still has another five pending, including this year’s Oscar for Best Leading Actor. But you know what everyone reall wants to know? What he’s up to next, of course!

Because Friday is a terrific day for hilarious videos, here’s another one for you: Jean recently shot a Funny or Die video which attempts to answer that very question. What IS Jean Dujardin up to next? Well… he’s playing every movie villain in the history of cinema. All of them. And it’s wonderful.

It’s a joke, of course—it is Funny or Die, after all—but just in case you were curious about what Jean’s audition reel for each and every one of those villains would look like, here you go. Things start out pretty standard—James Bond, Mission: Impossible, and so on—but at around the 1:30 mark, things get… interesting. Here, take a look for yourselves:

It’s amazing, right? I’m kind of torn between which one is my favorite, Jack and Jill 2 or Bridesmaids 2. Genius. Sheer genius.

Jean is up for a BAFTA for Best Actor in a Leading Role this weekend, and of course be sure to be on the lookout for him at the Oscars on February 26!
