What Went On Inside The Extra Luxury Lounge
Celebs like Jennifer Love Hewitt, True Blood’s Ashley Jones donated to a good cause, got goodies and got pampered!
Glamour was in full swing at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Burton Room, where the first Extra Luxury Lounge, featuring the L’Oreal Paris Beauty Suite spoiled Oscar nominated celebs, presenters and other high-profile faces with royal beauty treatments and loads of cool swag from sponsors. The elegant room was divided into a decadent labyrinth of food, desserts, and premium gifts that stars could wander through and take their pick from.
Invited guests were asked to donate clothing from their closet to the featured charity, Working Wardrobe. Their mission, as company spokeswoman Megan Harless told me, is “to give star-treatment for people coming out of crisis.” Celebrity items donated are to be auctioned off and the proceeds used to help re-dress men, women and teens to get them back into the workforce. Some of the items donated were; a BCBG jacket from Rachel Bilson’s closet, a tailored suit from Emmy-award winning actor Neil Patrick Harris-complete with his monogrammed initials on the interior, three gowns from Grammy winner Miranda Lambert and a Brian Lichtenberg bodysuit from Ciara. To donate to this great cause or for more information check them out on the web.
Jennifer Love Hewitt was at the lounge making her rounds (with the most beautiful eye-lashes I’ve ever seen) where she signed and donated a New Era cap to Working Wardrobes. Other celebs who signed and donated caps at the Extra Luxury Lounge were; The Office’s Leslie David Baker, Radha Mitchell, Penny Marshall, Entourage’s Rex Lee, The Fighter Dicky Ecklund and True Blood’s Ashley Jones.
Did you happen to catch the shiny crown accessory in award-nominee Helena Bonham Carter’s hair at the Oscars? The crown was actually a ten dollar flip flop ornament from one of the lounge’s sponsors. Helena’s mother had been a guest at the Extra gifting lounge at the Beverly Hills Hilton before the awards and nabbed a pair of FlipOut sandals. Helena must have loved the crown accessory enough to send her mother back for a second helping of these crown sparklers. If it was meant as a good luck charm for The King’s Speech- it certainly worked.
