Who Wants to See More of Tom Cruise in a Fat Suit?
Tom Cruise finally realized that people prefer to see him as an ugly, mean studio exec than a “sexy” action hero.

Tom Cruise has been searching for a fountain of youth for some time now (see: Knight and Day, Mission: Impossible IV, Katie “Kate” Holmes), but his search seemed destined for futility. That is, until Sunday night.
At last weekend’s 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Cruise trotted out an old friend – Les Grossman, the nasty film exec Cruise played in the 2008 comedy Tropic Thunder. He reprised the famous dance scene that closes the film live on stage with Jennifer Lopez, a clip that was just about everywhere you looked on the web this week.
Since that kind of funny dance was popular online for roughly three days, and no one in Hollywood is afraid to beat a dead horse to a pulp, Les Grossman will get his own film, produced by none other than Tropic Thunder co-star and director Ben Stiller.
“Les Grossman’s life story is an inspiring tale of the human class struggle to achieve greatness against all odds,” Stiller said in a statement. “He has assured me he plans to quote ‘F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.’ I am honored to be working with him.”
Stiller isn’t the only one inspired by Grossman. Adam Goodman, president of Paramount Film Group (which will produce the film), had a few words to say about Grossman as well.
“Everything I learned in this business, I’ve learned from Les,” Goodman said. “I started out as his assistant, and from the first day he threw his desk at me when I got his lunch order wrong, I have loved him like a father.”
Hey, the concept basing an entire film on auxiliary characters in another film is working pretty well for Jonah Hill and Russell Brand in Get Him to the Greek (remember Forgetting Sarah Marshall?) – maybe this will be a hit! Will you see it? (PopEater)
