‘Tis the season, Bettys! Eggnog, list-making, present-wrapping … and memory making. To celebrate all the fun that comes along with holiday photos and photos gifts, Shutterfly has given us a really awesome prize to give away to one lucky reader. Among other things, the prize pack includes a super duper digital camera and credits on Shutterfly to make some gorgeous photos gifts and memories — including two photo books.

To get you the photo book mood, we asked four Bettys to tell us what they’d make if they could design a photo book on Shutterfly and who they’d gift it to. We had fun with this — we hope you enjoy our ideas! But first … let’s talk about this AWESOME prize pack we have to give away!

April Hussar summer

My family and I had one of those magical summers in 2011. We went on an amazing trip, played at the pool and the beach, spent time with family and friends, and built a tree house. I’d love to surprise my husband and daughter with a book filled with all those incredible, sweet memories.

Nalissa Cuthbert, contributer:

My photo book for 2011 would include pictures of my immediate family and me over the past summer. When I went to visit them in Florida we had an amazing time, and I was able to be with my sister from the last months of her pregnancy right up to the birth of my nephew. I would hold on to the book and give it to him in a few years so he can see what his crazy family was up to before he was born!

Diana Denza, contributer:

My 2011 photo book would include pictures of some of my closest friends and me having a blast in New York City. I would send it off to my two twin sisters (who are studying in colleges down in Florida) so they can get a look at their big sister’s adventures in the Big Apple! Who knows? Maybe it will inspire a week of sisterly bonding in NYC. Miss you, Sue and Stef!

Lucia Peters, associate editor:

I’m no photographer, but I do like to collect memories—especially memories of adventures I’ve been on. Over the past two and a half years, my boyfriend has become my adventure buddy and partner in crime. I would write to him … Remember running around Disneyland in the pouring rain? Or finding our first geocache together? Or getting lost in a corn maze? Because I sure do. This photo book’s for you!

And now .. THE GIVEAWAY!

  1. What a super contest from Betty Confidential and Shutterfly! My choice for photo books would be a custom Brag Book about our first granddaughter! She is our joy and we would have to show everyone pictures of our little angel!

  2. I really love the black & White Backdrop Album. This one seems to work for everything, whether it be the girls, the guys, kids, pets, scenery, black & white photos, whatever. It’s not too girly or boyish and can work with any photo. I can think of 4 different huge albums that I have that would work with this color scheme. Very nice!

  3. I just love the girls rule template – of course I have 3 daughters so I naturally gravitate towards girly! I love the idea of the holiday/season themed templates as well. Looking forward to trying these out for Christmas gift giving.

  4. I like the Bon Voyage custom path photo book. It seems perfect for capturing those moments that take our breath away & inspire a little more adventure in our lives.

  5. My favorite photo book template is “Top Ten” as I’d love to use this template to make an album for my kids’ grandparents as a gift for Christmas. Thanks for the chance to win such an great prize!

  6. I love the kids templates. I make photo books from SHUTTERFLY for my nieces (one is being shipped today) I use SHUTTERFLY all the time for photo books, prints, calendars, photo gifts. They are great and have terrific customer service!

  7. I love the one where you can use your own photo as the background. I have an awesome nephew and I’d love to make a photo book with all the pictures I have of him.

  8. I’ve used Shutterfly for several photo books and have been thrilled by how nice they come out. Love the chronological order they put the pictures in (if you want that). You can have them do it or can customize your own way. I’d use the Planes Trains in the Custom Path for the book I’m going to do after my sister and I go on our Two Sisters Dream Vacation!

  9. I would use photos from our travels across the country with my sister. Our choice is the Planes Trains in the Custom Path for the book we’ll make after our Two SIsters Dream Vacation. She’s the expert and would help me make an amazing book and outstanding cards thanks to Shutterfly and Betty. Love this prize!!

  10. Oh wow, It’s been a few years since I’ve made my last Shutterfly book. They have came a long ways since then. It is so hard to pick but I like the Noel one, the Top Ten is awesome, Black and White is cool. I would have a hard time choosing. I will definitely be ordering one of these soon!!!!

  11. Versatile Classics or Hit the Road are my favorite. I think if it’s just a compilation of photos, Versatile Classics, if it’s all from one trip, I’d do Hit the Road. xoxo

  12. Shutterfly is great. My daughter makes us a book about the grandbabies every so often. She loves photography and this would be the best Christmas gift ever for her!

  13. I would do an 8×11 hardcover book from the “Sweet Baby Girl” template. My daughter who is 7 now was born 8 weeks early weighing only 2 lbs. & 13 ozs. So I would like to do one about her time in the NICU and her first year. Scrapbooks are good but I would love to have one of the hardcover photo books of memories from that time.

  14. I like the Noel template. There are cute back grounds and embellishments. I love the custom path option for the photobook. Its great that now you can use a photo for the background. Also you can move and adjust pictures how you want them and add text anywhere.

  15. I love the Someone Special design template. I recently lost my grandmother and I’m making photobooks for everyone in the family with that design to remember and honor her. I also use the Fun in the Sun template to make a photobook of our summer vacation this year. It turned out beautiful!

  16. I love the custom path. I would use it to create a book for my daughter of my grandson all through the years. After hurricane rita she lost all of her pictures and I realized I still have most of them in shutterfly.

  17. I like the inspirational quotes. We can ALL use a little inspiration from time to time, and what better way to reaffirm the inspiration than to showcase it with the appropriate photograph! I love the idea!

  18. I like the Travel Bon Voyage template. I have never made one of these photo books, and am glad to see there is such a variety. I have an inexpensive camera, am just getting into photography, and would love to win this!

  19. I love the Bon Voyage one…would be great for some of the cruises I have went on. Honestly, this is such a neat idea…considering I grew up with traditional photo albums.

  20. I love the Antique Letters template! That would be fun to use if I had a camera! Mine bit the dust a couple years ago and I don’t have one. I would love to start creating beautiful things!
I Love Betty And Shutterfly AND Canon!!

  21. Time flies by so fast. Suddenly I am 63 and have 8 grandkids and three great grandkids. I would definitely do a customer template about my life and years past to the present, with plenty of pictures of the whole family and our history together to leave behind. Memories do become dim but a book would help some of our history live forever.
