Attention, Everyone: Beyonce’s ‘First Post-Baby Interview’ Is a Fake
That interview with a post-Blue Ivy Beyonce that appeared in Star UK? Not actually real. Surprise!
Were you surprised when British gossip mag Star suddenly came forward with Beyonce’s first post-baby interview on Tuesday? Did it seem a little bizarre that Bey would choose that particular publication to talk to first? Even if it was full of things that sounded pretty Beyonce-like—that she felt an “instant connection” with baby Blue Ivy, that she considers Jay-Z an “inspirational husband—well, guess what: You were absolutely right. It’s a fake
In fact, one of the singer’s reps told Access Hollywood that the whole thing was “completely made up.” Furthermore, when asked point-bank if the interview was legit, the rep responded just as flatly: “Absolutely not.” Well, glad that’s been cleared up.
Bizarrely, though, when Access Hollywood got in touch with an editor at Star UK, they were told, “It is not made up or fictitious at all. We bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S. who conducted the interview with Beyonce before the birth. The reporter then obtained the ‘top-up’ info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM team.” However, the post has since been taken down—which doesn’t really say much for Star’s innocence. Indeed, the Washington Post tried in turn to get a comment from Star to no avail. Are they hiding under the rug? Probably.
In other news, more things that may also be false include Jay-Z stating in a poem that he’s sworn off using the word “b*tch” now that he’s got a daughter. A source close to the rapper apparently told E! Online that Jay-Z did not, in fact, write the poem in which this claim appears.
Ah, the tabloids at their finest!
