Hair artist Nedjetti Harvey’s work has appeared between the covers of O, Essence, Paper, Brides Noire and other magazines. She’s styled the likes of Jada Pinkett-Smith, Alessandra Ambrosio and dozens of other celebs too. And she’s got many a runway show under her belt as well. She and the SoftSheen-Carson team created and styled the gorgeous hair at entire Nina Skarra Spring-Summer 2013 Collection at NYFW. Giving you beauties a backstage pass, Nedjetti dishes to Betty Confidential about her work with Nina Skarra, the budding Norwegian designer who had rap superstar Lil ‘Kim in the audience! What products were used for the show as well as preventing even the worst of runway hair emergencies!
Betty Confidential: How did you get involved in Nina Skarra’s fashion show?
Nedjetti Harvey: I’m Soft-Sheen Carson’s hair artist and educator. Mezei Jefferson, my Director of Education, let us know that I and the team would working on the hair for this show.
BC: What was Nina’s beauty vision for the show?
NH: We were shown an off the face, sleek look with soft cascading waves in the back that would reflect Nina’s exquisitely feminine line.
