Beauty Road Test: Physicians Formula Aging Wrinkle Filler & Deep Moisture Repair
We all need a moisturizer that instantly makes your skin softer and clearer without breaking the bank.
I dunno, I’ve always been lucky with my skin. I can stay up all night, live on three hours of sleep, live on caffeine, eat poorly, yet my skin’s always looked clear and glowed. Then in September, it turned around and smacked me in the head.
I’m not sure what happened. I woke up one day and my skin felt dry. Like when I touched my cheek, I got scared–that type of dry. Was it getting even for years of abuse? I even started getting comments on how “tired” my skin looked. Not the thing you want to hear, right? I had gotten a jar of Physicians Formula Aging Wrinkle Filler & Deep Moisture Repair ($21.95 srp, stores nationwide) not too long ago and thought that I might be too young to hit the deep moisture repair pool yet. However, after the comments and the way my skin felt, I figured I ought to dive in. Physicians Formula feels that this product is a safer, healthier and way less expensive alternative to injectible fillers for your face.
The first day I tried it, my skin responded instantly. It became softer in seconds. The light purple cream sinks into your skin in about 30 seconds, without a greasy residue. After a week of using it twice a day, my skin started to bounce back. There was a day or two that I forgot to use it, nothing adverse happened. In other words, my skin didn’t go from healthy to awful. I started getting compliments on my skin again (phew).
I’ve been using it for two weeks. According to a study on the product by Physicians Formula, 100 percent of women used it saw and immediate change — their skin became softer and more supple. After two weeks, 96 percent saw less fine lines and wrinkles and 87 percent said they felt their skin looked younger. Four weeks after using it, the women who were in the study had 100 percent change in their skin, 100 percent of them had skin that looked firmer. 83 percent saw wrinkle filling effect in four weeks.
I’m at the two week mark, I haven’t noticed any fine lines leaving, but my skin looks great. So great that I can go back to just using concealer and powder or concealer and a light BB cream instead of a foundation and tons of other products. Whew!
