Charlotte Ronson, Tinsley Mortimer, Robert Verdi and Santa Go Green!
Celebs, fashionistas and designers lend a little leg power for the New Year’s Eve lights in Times Square.
Yesterday, with the winds blowing and the cold creeeping in everywhere, Richie Rich, designer Charles Nolan, Carson Kressley, Charlotte Ronson, Jack Mackenroth, designer Jussara Lee and other celebs met up at the mobile Duracell Smart Power Lab in New York City. In the tent, they hopped on a Duracell Power Rover, pedaled, exercised and the energy they created is now stored and will be used to power the 2011 numerals as the New Year’s Eve Ball drops and the clock strikes midnight!
The Power Rovers work on rotary generator technology. Each time you move a pedal, energy is captured and stored in the rover. The faster you pedal the more energy you create.
Want to make the New Year’s Eve lights bright? You can visit the Duracell Smart Power Lab at the Times Square Visitor’s Center- 7th Avenue, between West 46th and 47th streets. You can also charge up your mobile electronic devices – such as cell phones, BlackBerrys, digital cameras, iPods, MP3 players, portable gaming devices and more at the Duracell Charging Stations on the pop-up Mobile Smart Power Lab.
