ASK REAL GUYS
Dear ASK REAL GUYS: I met a very nice man online, and we communicated for about six weeks before meeting for coffee. We ended up chatting for well over two hours, and at the end of the evening he suggested that we get together again. I said that I would enjoy spending more time with him, but I have only received one e-mail a week from him and no invitation to meet up again. He claimed to be going out of town for the weekend directly after we met, then he had a cold, then I had my wisdom teeth removed, and then he went out of town again. I have been keeping an eye on his online profile, and it appears that he has only logged on twice since we initially met. The most recent time he came online was last night. Does it sound like he is interested in me, or not?
Avery: It’s too difficult to determine if he’s interested in you since his reasons for not being available sound legitimate AND you were also not available due to the dental surgery. Plus, not seeing him online much backs up his story. I suggest that you ask him to get together for dinner or lunch (since you’ve already done the coffee thing) and if he won’t commit to a day at all, then take that as him not being interested. My guess is that when you ask him to meet and give him a few days as options, you guys will have your next date.
