It was the moment the whole world has been waiting for — when Kate Middleton emerged from her car and entered Westminster Abbey and finally revealed her wedding dress. The deep v-neck, lace-sleeved, full-skirted gown with a 20 ft. train was designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of the late British designer’s fashion house, Alexander McQueen.

Fashion experts are remarking that the gown is a little more traditional than they were expecting, and certainly strays from Sarah Burton’s usual designs. But, it’s clear that it’s what Kate Middleton wanted for the day she would marry her prince and become Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine.

Her Cartier tiara was made in 1936, and was originally purchased by King George VI and later passed down to Queen Elizabeth on her 18th birthday. Kate’s diamond acorn earrings by Robinson Pelham were a gift from her parents and a nod to the Middleton family’s new coat of arms, which features acorns.

    I loved it. When she first got out of the car, I was surprised, but after watching the ceremony and how traditional it was, I thought it fit perfectly. I wonder if she will change into something more modern for the reception?

    i like the dress but not the top it looks like her nipples are hard i saw it so did my coworkers and i evean woke up someone to make sure it wasant me you figure shes famious they would check for these things
