It seems like yesterday when we met the Harry Potter crew, but the first movie came out in 2001! Now, the last, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is about to hit our local movieplex. Our favorite wizarding fashionista, Emma Watson, stole our hearts portraying Hermione Granger in the series. As a nine year old, she had eight auditions before they cast her. In addition to acting, Emma’s worked as a model. She was the face of Burberry’s winter 2009 and summer 2010 campaigns. Emma’s also dabbled in design. She’s worked on fashion collaborations with organic and Fair Trade clothier, People Tree and high end luxury designer, Alberta Ferretti. This past march, she received Elle magazine’s ELLE Style Icon Award.

Let’s take a look at how her style’s evolved over the years.

Hello world, meet Emma Watson! Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the movie to see in 2001. You can see by what she’s wearing to the London premiere of the movie, she’s got fashion on her mind. Look at how tiny she is, you just want to pinch her cheeks.

We only had to wait a year for the next movie: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.  What a difference a year makes. Emma’s starting to show off her personal style by mixing a hard-edged leather jacket with a flowy dress for the premiere.

Everyone makes a mis-step once in awhile, and you have to give Emma a break because the Disney Channel Kids Awards in 2003 was her very first awards show. You do have to admit her white flats positively glow. Look at Tom Felton! Oh my gosh is all I can say. BTW- he was her secret crush when they started filming the series.

Here we see Emma coming into her own style . She wore a soft gray strapless dress to the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2004. The only off-note is the white shoes. Again. She must have loved them.

Emma starts to get a little daring with this sheer overlay gown at the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire premiere in New York. For the London premiere, she got more daring with a form-fitting gown that showed some skin.
