Go Red for Women! Three gorgeous outfits to celebrate women’s heart health.

Red Dress Day April Hussar

It’s the 10th anniversary of National Wear Red Day! To celebrate, we put together our dream “red: outfits … but before we get to the fun stuff, let’s go over one really important fact: According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. That’s approximately one woman every minute!

For a little background on The AMA’s “Go Red for Women” campaign, check out this PSA  starring Emmy award-winning actress Allison Janney (best known for her role on “The West Wing”)… Allison has a deep-rooted connection to the cause, as she lost her grandma and great grandma to heart attacks and almost lost her mother after an emergency quadruple bypass. And then visit goredforwomen.org for tons of info about how to keep YOUR HEART — and the hearts of the women you love — healthy!

And one more thing before we get to the fashion — here’s a really fun, easy way to make a difference: Macy’s, a founding national sponsor of Go Red For Women (they’ve raised $40 million to support the cause since 2004!) wants you to Color Your World Red in support of Go Red For Women! Feb. 1 through Feb. 14, post, pin, tweet or share something red, tag it #MacysGoesRed and Macy’s will donate $2 to the American Heart Association, up to $250,000. Visit Facebook.com/Macys to learn more.

And now! The outfits!!
