Heidi Klum’s Bedazzled Cleopatra Costume Stuns at Haunted Christmas Party
Heidi Klum finally had her Halloween party this past weekend! Get a load of her costume here—including her impressive jeweled face!
No one takes Halloween more seriously than Heidi Klum—even in December! After canceling her renowned Halloween party in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Heidi postponed the event to December. Her “haunted Christmas” was finally held on Saturday night at New York’s Finale nightclub, and you know what that means, right? Yep: We finally got the full effect of her completed costume!
Heidi gave us a sneak peek of her Cleopatra getup back in October, including the gold gown, floor-length cape, and elaborate headdress—but one thing we weren’t expecting was the finishing touch: A glittering face completely covered in tiny little rhinestones. Super glam, no? Said Heidi to the New York Daily News, “I thought that I was a little ugly last year, which I loved”—as a reminder, she went as both a skinned cadaver and an ape last year—“but I always like to change it up. I never want to look the same.” Here’s a closer look:
According to the Telegraph, Heidi went to Oscar and Emmy-winning makeup artist Bill Corso to create her sparkling visage. With a resume that includes The Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men: The Last Stand, and A Series of Unfortunate Events, Bill is known for his amazingly detailed work, and Heidi’s Halloween makeup is no exception. Using hundreds of crystals, he highlighted her cheeks, lips, and the bridge of her nose, with the finished effect looking not unlike a statue or sculpture.
Guests at the event included Russell Simmons, Jay Manuel, Katie Couric, Questlove—and of course, the Big Guy in the Red Suit himself:
All of the proceeds of the party will benefit the Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy aid, which is still ongoing in hard-hit areas like the Rockaways. Heidi also woke up bright and early the morning after the shindig to help the relief effort. How’s that for getting into the holiday spirit?
