Lacey Ryan’s sweet stackable bracelets and necklaces
-April Daniels Hussar
Move over Sienna Miller, there’s a new hippy-chic-chick in town. Gorgeous young design student/entrepreneur (do you hate her already?) Lacey Ryan recently launched an oh-so-sweet line of stackable bracelets and necklaces, beautifully melding funky and earthy with stylish and posh.
Lacey has been making jewelry since the ripe old age of nine, and her inspiration is bringing luck, strength and spiritual guidance to those who wear her jewelry. That means she chooses materials and charms intended to draw good spirit to the wearer. That’s you!
Lacey uses a plethora of gorgeous beads, divine charms, and eclectic materials from braided leather to thin silk cords to gold and silver chains; even the most die-hard fashionista will enjoy mixing and matching to her heart’s desire. Stunning beads include jet-black onyx, vivid blue jade, bone-white fossil (yes fossil!), and rich, earthy coral, to name a few. Gold and silver charms are even more varied – a few possible combinations include the Kabbalah charm paired with Amethyst beads (mysticism, energy and protection); the Tree of Life and Fleur de Lis paired with Carnelian (eternity, purity and vitality); or a blue jade (inner peace) bracelet with a simple yin-yang charm. The possibilities are endless.
Oh and did I mention they are super affordable? As in – it won’t cost you an arm to arm yourself with a whole wrist-full of these chunky chic bracelets, and deck your neck in a couple of the feel-good, look-great necklaces.
A few favorites from her site:
The Tree of Life gold plated charm necklace ($44): “Harmonizing Green Chalcedony combined with the Tree of Life instills everlasting joy and generosity.” Everlasting joy and generosity – I like the sound of that!
Antique Brown Gold Bracelet ($38): “Combines Kabbalah and Om with energy boosting Carnelian and lucky Citrine.”
Of course, the more the merrier – try stacking the above with this fossil bracelet ($20), paired with a charm of your choosing… are you in the mood for peace, prosperity, health and love; or perhaps a Fleur de Lis, symbolizing purity and light?
Whether you believe that these charms and elements can really provide you with good karma, they are guaranteed to make you feel good. And rest assured – Lacey is no marketing genius tapping into the new age hippy hipness – she puts her money where her mouth is in bringing light into the world. Just last weekend she participated in the Fire Island Art Show and donated 100 percent of proceeds of all blue jade bracelets with her Life Rocks charm (representing life’s possibilities) to the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps ease the transition of soldiers returning from the war in Afghanistan and Iraq into civilian life. Now that’s good karma.
I love that she takes her inspiration from many cultures and traditions…she’s truly a 21st century fox!
