With a byline of “Purchase with purpose,” iSanctuary is a socially minded business with the goodhearted intention of ending the human trafficking cycle through the production of fashion.

Based in Irvine, California, iSanctuary, or International Sanctuary, employs rescued women, in both India and the United States, and helps them get back on their feet through the production and sales of jewelry. From production to post-production, from the making to the processing of orders, each and every step is completed by a survivor of human trafficking.

A very hands-on company, the founder, Stephanie Pollaro, moved to India six years ago to start iSanctuary  and begin training these women in the art of jewelry making. Now, the fairly young company has already employed well over 200 women and sees no end in sight. There’s jewelry for men, women and children. You can also pick up gift wrap and cards too. Isanctuary is like a one-stop-shop for gorgeous gifts that really do keep giving.

The prices for these handcrafted items are reasonable: $15- $35 for bracelets, $15 for earrings, $20 – $40 for necklaces, $5 – $10 for cards—which include Thank You notes and monogrammed cards, to $4 for a peacock feather adorned gift wrap pack.

The end products are gorgeous purposeful presents that provide dignity as well as a sustainable future for the rescued women. Great for any and all occasions, this is jewelry with a story behind each facet.
