Since spring is a time of renewal and all, it makes a certain amount of sense that a whole bunch of wee little ones would be finding their way into the world right about now. It’s certainly the case for Maggie Gyllenhaall and Peter Sarsgaard—who have just welcomed their second baby girl! Congratulations to the happy family!

Maggie’s rep confirmed to Us Weekly, People, and all manner of other celeb news sources this week that the baby girl was born on April 19 in New York. Her name? Gloria Ray. Cute, right? We think so! Little Gloria joins big sister Ramona, who is five years old.

Maggie and Peter have been together since 2002; Ramona was born on October 3, 2006, and the couple finally tied the knot in Italy on May 2, 2009. Maggie did the traditional thing and waited until her second trimester to announce her second pregnancy—though it definitely wasn’t easy. Last month, the actress revealed to USA Today, “I find it difficult to pretend you’re not pregnant, which I had to do. I didn’t let anyone know util three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses.” Peter, meanwhile, kept himself busy trying to prep Ramona for sisterhood: “I’ve seen kids with siblings—I don’t have any siblings, so I don’t know—but they generally go for about five minutes, ‘Oh, cool! Anyway, what are we going to do now? Can we return it?’” he said in February. “I think it gets boring quickly, at first, and it takes a while for them to bond.”

In a move that suits their low-key lifestyle, the happy parents don’t plan on selling any baby photos—to which we say, thank goodness! The whole “let’s sell photos of our celebrity baby for several thousand dollars” trend kind of wigs us here at BettyConfidential out.

Congratulations on the new addition, Maggie, Peter, and Ramona—and welcome to the world, Gloria!!
