Oh, Kristen Stewart. We get that you’re trying to push your limits and to show the world that you’re an adult now by sporting daring, sheer looks on the red carpet. But this? Might be going just a little bit too far.

Kristen wore this barely-there number to the New York premiere of On the Road last Thursday. How on earth she didn’t freeze to death, I’ll never know—but more pressingly, how was it determined that wearing underwear to a premiere was a good idea? Was it maybe an effort to prepare us for Kristen’s topless scene in the film? I’m not totally sure, but as far as I can tell, she essentially threw on a bra and a pair of boy shorts, then wound herself in a sheer curtain stolen from one of her windows to complete the look. The kicker? The dress is from Erdem’s spring 2013 collection. File under: “When Runway Looks Go Bad.”

People points out that on the runway, the skirt (if that swath of sheer fabric can really be called a skirt) was knee-length, making it “more appropriate and much more feminine”—and they’re right. Take a look:

I still can’t say that I actually LIKE the dress, but at least it looks a little bit more like an actual outfit here, rather than just a shiny and slightly ill-fitting lingerie set.

Kristen’s shoes, however, are pretty lustworthy—so naturally, they’re Louboutins. Want ‘em, but don’t want to break the bank getting ‘em? Steve Madden has a pair of pink patent pointy-toed heels ($89.95, currently on sale for $48.99, stevemadden.com) that’ll get the job done with panache!

Tell us: What do you think, Bettys? Love it? Hate it? Feel “meh” about it? Coveting those shoes as much as we are?
