Oh Noes! Kristin Chenoweth Hospitalized After Accident on ‘The Good Wife’ Set
Kristin Chenoweth was rushed to the hospital yesterday after an accident on the set of ‘The Good Wife.’ Oh no! We hope she gets well soon!
Oh noes! Broadway actress extraordinaire and former GCB star Kristin Chenoweth was rushed to the hospital yesterday after an accident on the set of The Good Wife in New York! We hope she’s okay!
TMZ (surprise) broke the news first. A source connected to the show told the gossip site that a piece of lighting equipment collapsed due to a large gust of wind—and then whacked Kristin on the head. Additionally, she smacked her head on the concrete on her way to the ground. A witness revealed that she looked like she was “knocked out cold.” Ouch!
Someone on set called 911 at around 5pm to report the accident; paramedics treated her on the scene, fitting her with a neck brace and strapping her to a stretcher before rushing her off in an FDNY ambulance to a nearby hospital.
CBS, the studio which produces The Good Wife, later released a statement about the incident: “This afternoon, while filming a scene for The Good Wife in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place, striking actress Kristin Chenoweth,” the statement said. “She received treatment on the scene by the show’s medic until a New York Fire Department emergency medical team arrived and transported her to the hospital. All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery.”
Happily, a rep for the New York Fire Department told TMZ that Kristin is being treated for “minor injuries.” Thanks goodness! The accident sounded serious; at least she’s well on her way to recovery.
Get well soon, Kirstin!
