Q&A With a Dominatrix

The inside scoop from a professional Madame.

-Sarah Polonsky

KC Neill

Hard as it may be for some to believe, the world of bondage is prevalent. The next time you go to your doctor it may interest you to know he may spend his off hours being tied up by a leather-clad lady in stiletto boots. And there are some women roaming amongst us who cater to the desires of the … shall we say …  non-vanilla set. These women are not hookers or strippers. They are in fact, psychologically tuned-in, Mother-types that will spank you if you’re naughty… for a price.

In part one of this series, KC Neill, a professional dominatrix gave BettyConfidential readers some insight into how she got into the bondage biz and what it’s about. Now we’ve followed up with some questions for her that were plaguing us.

Is being a dominatrix your fulltime job?
No. I’m a freelance event planner and a model as well.

Would you ever want to do it fulltime or for the rest of our life?
No. Not at all.

Are there dommes out there that do it as a lifelong career?
Yes. There are many dommes that have made lifelong careers out of what they do. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. It’s just not something I’d want to do with my whole life because there are so many different opportunities and so many different things one can do in the world.

How much money do you earn domming?
I make enough to survive in New York City, plus more.

Do your parents know that you’re a dominatrix?
Yes. When I explained to them how it works and that it has nothing to do with sex they tried to be understanding about it. Essentially, they know that whatever choices I make in my life are right for me.

How do you find your clients?
There are a couple of websites that are dedicated to the world of dommes and their clientele. I create ads on these sites and then the clients can contact me thru email.

How do you feel about your clients?
It’s important to keep my feelings very detached. I’m here to provide an escape from their everyday lives and that’s it.

What sort of men comes to see you?
It varies. Usually the guys that come to see me are high profile, like doctors or lawyers or CEOS of companies. They are very powerful men whom don’t have anyone to ever tell them “no.” They need some balance in their life. They need to escape to a place where they don’t have to make any decision themselves.

Do women ever come to see you?
I’ve never had a woman client. Normally when a woman goes to see a domme I find that they go with their partner.

    Talk about open– wowzers!

Wow, this is a world I’ve never really read about. It’s weird how these guys love being told “no” and what to do. Don’t their wives already do that?

  5. uptowngirl says:

It’s interesting how casual she is about this unusual job. I appreciate that she seems to really respect and understand her clients – that seems like it could be tough to do.

That public foot thing must have been embarrassing.

I enjoyed this article, not something I would normally expect from Betty and I like it :) The only way for the world to become more open is by educating themselves and I find this shows a good depiction of the job and the person that does it.

  8. girleegirl says:

amazing I never thought about this world before.

  9. dessie81 says:

I always believed there’s something sexual about BDSM. I guess in her sessions there isn’t.

I’m curious to know what her official job title is. Massage therapist? Escort? I can’t imagine…

Also, I doubt any client would want a receipt. So does she pay taxes?

  10. nimrod90 says:

i do it with my boyfriend… but we are more i guess the word is risky? this girl doesnt really look like the dominatrix’s ive seen, the ones i seen (and i hang out with some) are in the punk, goth or psychobilly scene. the makeup is heavier and more defined too. when i do it i hurt him bad and he loves it. hes a masochist and im a sadist so it works out.
