Being the manic Target shopper that I am, I’m thrilled to introduce their new coupon app, Cartwheel! Not only does Cartwheel offer more than 700 coupons (so, now you can save when you go home with a million things you didn’t intend to buy), but, it allows consumers to discount stack—meaning you can use Cartwheel with any other Target discounts or coupons, manufacturers’ coupons and their REDcard discount. How awesome is that?! AND, you can use any offer on your list as many times as you wish until the offer expires!
Using Cartwheel is super simple too! It took me only a matter of minutes to make an account and start adding coupons to my “cart”. When signing up, users can either use their Facebook login, Target login, or email. The fun thing about using Facebook is this enables you to see what offers your friends and family have on their Cartwheel lists in the app experience as well as via Facebook’s open graph stories (this could come in handy for birthdays and holidays!) Of course, if you want to use your Facebook login, but do not want your Cartwheel activity posted to Facebook, you have complete control by not allowing Facebook to post on your behalf during the authentication process. You can also manage this at any time via the app privacy settings.
Cartwheel offers 10 spots on your list to fill with the different deals of your choice. You can use the Cartwheel collections when deciding what items to choose from. For example, I chose women’s apparel and home. There I found two great deals, 25% off Champion Apparel and Shoes and a 10% off KitchenAid Mixer Attachments. I added both of those deals to my cart list for later use.
One, of the many reasons, I love this app is because I don’t have to print it or save a paper voucher, I can access it all right from my iPhone and scan right in the store. Also, using either the iPhone or Droid native apps, guests can scan any barcode in store to see if that item has a Cartwheel offer on it, which can be fun! If you don’t have a smartphone, don’t worry because you can get these deals straight from your desktop, print the barcode and still save big bucks!
So, now for the important stuff—how much did I save? I used my 25% off Champion Apparel discount on a pair of comfy workout pants. These were originally $27, marked down to $13.96 and with my extra Cartwheel discount, drumroll please… I bought them for only $10.48! YES! Since I was already there, I couldn’t help but catch some other savings such as an adorable heart pie pan for $5, fuzzy sock booties for only $4 and a cute Valentines card, just $1! Gotta love Target and the deals!
OK, so one lucky reader will get to win that $1,000 Target GiftCard® from participating blogs. To enter, just tell me in the comments below, what is your favorite deal in Target’s Cartwheel App? Good luck!
