Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2

Well, Bettys, it’s finally here: The end of an era. On Friday (or at midnight tonight, depending on how dedicated a fan you are), Breaking Dawn – Part 2 hits cinemas, and The Twilight Saga will come to an end. Le sigh.

True, unlike with the Harry Potter films, we haven’t really watched these guys grow up on screen; they were already pretty grown up by the time they first hit cinemas in Twilight in 2008. But they’ve still done some growing and changing over the past four years, so in honor of the occasion, here’s a look back at the key players.

Twilight (2008)

Bella

Twilight Bella

Remember when Kirsten Stewart’s Bella looked all wholesome in her headbands and her embroidered shirts? Those were the days!

Edward

Twilight Edward

The mysterious Edward Cullen as played by Robert Pattinson, brooding and untouchable. How on earth did he get his hair to defy gravity like that?

The Cullens

Twilight Cullens

Note that instead of wearing your classic all-black vampire garb, these guys (Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, and Ashley Greene) are decked out in white. Also note that this is the first of many, many wigs Ashley Greene will don as Alice Cullen.

Jacob

Twilight Jacob

Remember when Forks’ resident werewolf had long, flowing locks? Good times. Also, this is the last time you will ever see Jacob (Taylor Lautner, natch) look happy. Until, possibly, Breaking Dawn – Part 2. We’ll have to see what happens when Renesmee enters the picture.
