The Rumor Mill: Is L’Wren Scott Designing Angelina Jolie’s Wedding Gown?
Could it be? Has Angelina Jolie chosen L’Wren Scott to design her wedding gown?
Remember how excited we were way back in April when Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got engaged? We’re not going to lie: A lot of that excitement was due to the fact that it had finally become acceptable to try to guess what Angie would be wearing on the big day. And hey, look! We even gave it a shot ourselves!
According to Fashionista, though, there’s a new rumor swirling around about who might be designing Angelina’s wedding gown: L’Wren Scott. It’s a little convoluted, so bear with us: According to the Telegraph, a “friend” apparently told Grazia that Angie and L’Wren have had “several meetings” and that “Angelina wanted someone who is not so obvious for designing wedding gowns.” The “friend” went on to say that the actress has “been courted by someone of the hottest designers on the planet, but having a big name isn’t important to her. She wanted someone she could trust—and she most definitely trusts L’Wren.”
The bit about L’Wren Scott not being known for bridal wear is true; Fashionista, however, bets that this sort of non-traditional approach is exactly the sort of thing that would float Angie’s bridal boat, so maybe it’s not such a weird choice after all. Angelina also favors form-fitting looks, which Scott is known for. Here, for example, is a design from Scott’s Spring 2009 collection, which was full of white and ivory dresses:
What do you think? Can you picture Angie wearing something like this for her wedding? (Assuming, that is, that she’ll even wear white in the first place—knowing Angie, she might not.)
Alas, we’ll have to keep holding tight to find out whether there’s any truth to the rumors. In the meantime, feel free to speculate away!
Tell us: Who do you think Angie is going to wear on her wedding day?
