Where Did Rebecca Black’s “Friday” Go?
Rebecca Black pulls her “Friday” video from YouTube after accusations against Ark Music Factory.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Rebecca Black, the musical genius behind the YouTube phenomenon, “Friday,” has removed the music video from the site. Our weekend is officially over before it even began.
In April, TMZ reported that Rebecca and her mother were accusing Ark Music Factory of copyright infringement and using the “Fun, fun, fun” female’s image without permission.
Now, two months later, the video has been hidden from public eye behind a hefty rental fee of $2.99. Yes, now Auto-Tune and lyrical artistry cost the same as a McDonald’s Happy Meal. Excuse me, but when was the last time any of us ever paid that much for one song?
Thankfully, we still have Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)” music video to satisfy all of our Friday pleasures.
Tell us: would you pay $2.99 to hear Rebecca Black’s weirdly addictive song again?
