  1. I am not comfortable to submit and create a profile on an online dating site. I have known a couple of friends who did it and so far they seems to be happy with their relationships.

  2. This is simply a fast paced and automated version of the old mailorder bride concept. I'm sure there were those who tried it and those who decried mailorder. When you put it in perspective of not having to cross the wild west to meet your potential husband, online dating seems much more reasonable.

  3. I know several people who have met their significant others online. My best friend met her boyfriend on a dating website and they have been together and happy for about 3 years now. I don't see anything wrong with online dating as long as you are smart and careful about it.

  4. Since I'm newly married, I have no need for online dating. But if I weren't married, I would be a little apprehensive to try because people are really creepy these days.

  5. I have, and I still have few profiles out there. However, the most interesting and compatible guy I have met online turned out to have a girlfriend. In general, guys seem to think that girls with online dating profiles have self-esteem issues and will just "take what they can get." There isn't a lot respect going on.Either that, or they are as generic as a store-brand corn flakes. "I like hanging out with friends, watching movies and listening to music." Um, duh. So does everyone else.

  6. If I were single I for sure would try! Before internet, as a young, young women, I party-line (the phone!) blind dated and once it turned out horrible! The ass told me I was pretty-ugly and not his type!! The next time I tried a blind date the guy was a HOT James Dean look-a-like who said I was exactly what he was hoping for…:)

  8. i spent hours filling out the eharmony questionnaire only to be told they could not help me. LOL i felt very depressed after that!!! I did try briefly but all the guys only wanted a hookup- not even a date. do people not date anymore?

  9. I know a lot of people who have found love online, but I am not one to try online dating. I will mainly not try it because I like being single. If I was looking, I may try it. My Dad did online dating and is now married to the woman he met from there.

  10. I would definitely try online dating! In fact, I'm thinking of setting up a profile today! Online dating defintely works-it's how my good friend met her husband!

  11. I tried online dating. It's more intimidating, in my opinion, than when you meet someone at a bar or something. There's more pressure to put up amazing pictures and give some valuable content to your profile.

  12. Yes, I met a great friend online 6 years ago and we have been best friends ever since. I wouldn't call it boyfriend/girlfriend really , but he is my best friend.

  13. I've tried online dating and never found anyone I actually wanted to meet in person. Mostly I just get messages from men twice my age.
Following both on Twitter and retweeted! @ablankpostcard

  14. Maybe I am just out of touch with how things go today but I prefer meeting people the old fashioned way. I just cannot see myself doing the online dating thing.

  15. no i would never go for online dating.. how can you trust strangers.. a few of my friends have tried it and they have ended up with a very very bad experience… i dont think i would ever give it a go

liked and followed the pages 🙂

  16. I'm still young and in university with plenty of opportunities to meet people around the same age as I am, but if I were to not find a long-term partner in my schooling than I would definitely be open to exploring other options such as eHarmony or other online dating websites. My GRANDMOTHER met her boyfriend online, so it just goes to show that it could work for anyone!

  17. NO I wouldn't I have seen too many television shows and movies that always include a serial killer or a murder when someone tries online dating

  18. Although I'm currently in a happy relationship, if I ever found myself single again I would definitely try online dating. It is so commonplace nowadays that it's definitely possible to meet "normal" people on there!

  19. Yes I have tried online dating. I tried a totally free site and ended up in a relationship. Though he cheated on me with a stripper. No lie!! Anyway, I think online dating is just another avenue to meet people these days, I'm open to it

  20. I met my husband through playing a game on Facebook, and he lived over 3000 miles away in England at the time, we was just friends that became good friends and it grew from there to him visiting for a summer, then as we fell in love we visited each other more and more. Long story short is we got permission for him to move here and for us to be married, I think dating online made our relationship stronger and I told him things about my life that was easier to tell over the internet, I have found the man I want to spend the rest of my life with and I love him with all my heart!
